About

Courts of Hope Tennis is a student-led initiative founded by Azaniya Genda, a 10th-grader at South Hagerstown High School, whose mission is to make tennis accessible to all. We offer free practice sessions for middle and high school students, from beginners to competitive players, who are committed to improving their skills but may lack access to costly training programs.

Our program connects students with others at similar skill levels, creating consistent practice, real game experience, and meaningful friendships. Beyond tennis, we focus on discipline, confidence, academic growth, and community values.

We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Courts of Hope Tennis, founded by Azaniya Genda, is committed to changing that by creating a space where every student has the chance to learn, compete, and succeed.

Why It Was Founded

Courts of Hope Tennis was founded by Azaniya Genda, a dedicated 10th-grade student and passionate tennis player. She saw many talented, motivated players left behind simply because they could not afford lessons or regular practice.

Driven by passion and purpose, Azaniya founded Courts of Hope Tennis to offer a free, supportive place for students to connect, train, and grow. Once just one student’s vision, it is now a growing movement focused on giving others the same chance to succeed, regardless of financial limitations.

Call for Support

Courts of Hope Tennis is more than a program. It is a community effort.

We invite parents, coaches, and community members to partner with us in making a difference. Your time, mentorship, and support can help shape the next generation of student athletes by providing guidance, structure, and opportunity.

Together, we can open more doors, build stronger players, and impact lives far beyond the court.
